Check out a farmer’s market, or some other kind of outdoor vendor event.  The end of August, and coming into the fall, is great time for farmers and others to harvest what they’ve grown.

A farmer’s market can be a great place to get outdoors, slow down a bit and just browse without any pressure to “get things done” while looking for things to take care of yourself.

Farmer’s markets can have a wide variety of products that are locally grown and made with organic ingredients.

As you check out the market take a look at a few kinds of things for yourself like

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
    • Summer can be a great time to find hand picked fruits and vegetables
    • Challenge yourself to find a good summer recipe then locate the products in a local farmer’s market
  • Self care products
    • Lotions, bath salts or soaps
    • Different types of scent products like candles, essential oils, or incense
  • Other types of items
    • Homemade jams, jellies and honey
    • Craft types of items like woodwork, handmade clothing, or decorations

Also, don’t be afraid to talk to the vendors and ask questions. Many vendors would be very happy to talk about their products and process.

You may learn something new and have a more enjoyable time, or even find a new hobby.
