Seeking Emotional Resilience with Psychodrama
Psychodrama is an experiential therapeutic approach that integrates guided role-playing techniques, dramatic enactment, and spontaneous improvisation. It is effective because it renegotiates trauma while providing a sense of safety, control, creativity, and empowerment in the process. It is especially effective with treating anxiety, depression, grief, and PTSD.
- Reduce effects of trauma, grief, or loss
- Increase connectedness
- Strengthen interpersonal relationships
- Improve confidence and self-esteem
- Build self-awareness and encourage mindfulness
- Satisfy creative needs
In this group work, we will engage in a series of activities designed to bring common themes, feelings, and thoughts forward to be explored. Using open communication, sharing, and collective awareness, this creates a supportive environment for building community and emotional resilience.
